well, at least the voice in my head is familiar...
Has anyone other then me ever had to tie down their cynical side before? This odd metaphorical conversation occurred between me and that part of myself:
Cynic side: “you know… what she said a while back _seems_ like words of wisdom, but when you look at it another way, it just feels like she just found a way to get out of paying you back for the help.”
Rest o’ me: “shut up, we are not having this conversation; I like not being in the middle of an argument with any of my friends for once.”
Cynic side: “… and so you’re not filled with indignation that she’s getting off scott free and that you caved like a monkey? (Like you always end up doing…)”
Rest o’ me: “lemme guess, you didn’t hear the ‘shut the hell up’ the first time did you?”
Cynic side: “-and here I thought that being a better person and whatnot included making up for your past mistakes…”
Rest o’ me: “…”
Cynic side: “oh look, she’s online!”
Rest o’ me: “oh look, death note scans and that Victorian era comic I needed to work on.”
Cynic side: “hmph, fine. I’ll leave you to your anxiety about confrontation and just ruin your enjoyment you were having at listening to music.”
Rest o’ me: “I think the hatred I possess for certain aspects of my personality has risen to a new level.”
In other things, the computer will be fine. I can’t seem to find the receipt for the memory I bought at comp USA, but doomstone should be able to point me in the right direction on how to handle it. I also should give him a call mainly because it’s been a long while since we just talked.
Secondly, I have the 17th-23rd off, this means I have a week coming up where I can just piss around and not have to deal with my normal amount of stress.
Thirdly, Onimusha 2 is gay ninja love. Yeah the main character was gang-raped with the ugly tree, but it’s got gay ninjas and that makes it all better.
