Yeah. I understand there's a LOT of material to go through, and back about a year ago I'd say that it would be incredibly difficult to get as clear a picture as you can now. There's one series That I've just heard about from my friends and I have absolutely no desire to watch it. It sounds like it twigs hard against my race and gender buttons and I do honestly wonder why some of my sane, rational friends like the damn show. However! I also realize that even though I'm effectively judging an entire fandom, I might not be right. I think I'm right, I think I'm very right in fact. But I also have to remind myself that despite the fact that I can see some very gaping issues with the series that no, I don't know everything, and when I talk about it with someone that I should probably be ready for them to throw me a curve-ball.
