So yeah, guess who caved.

Yep that's right, I have a dreamwidth now. Of course I mainly started to use it because I like getting my notifs on time, instead of say, never. No I'm not going to dump my old Lj account, but I'm going to be doing a lot of crossposting.

You'll also note that I've been even more scarce then usual and that's for a few reasons. The first is that I've been having a lot of dental work done, and I've been partially diving into my projects to deal with it. The second is related to the first bit.

I've been roleplaying since I was sixteen, involved in Cfud for a few years and watched is since it first opened. I've GMed a good number of systems with a wide variation of results. I think I can officially say to myself that I need to stop fretting over if I need more experience before running a Lj/Dw game and just fucking do it. So Yeah! I need to finish up a few things and transfer the backstory to the game's wiki and hopefully I'll be opening my game in a month.

Hold me.

What's stopping me is that I need some opinions first. A survey if you will. Since I'm pretty sure only paid users get polls I'm just going to ask you guys to comment with your answers. If you've got the time it'd be great if you answered. If not, then I understand why you wouldn't want to teal deer at me about Lj games.

First up, where WOULD you guys potentially want this thing? I'm willing to run it on either Dreamwidth or Lj, depending on what's easiest for any potential players.

Secondly, I'd really like your opinions on systems. By this I mean a codified system that allows the character to use abilities outside of the normal ones, but requires either rolling dice or making sure mods are aware of the character's action. I personally want to use the honor system for the game's abilities, but if godmoding comes up I want to have something already prepared. If you have questions about players fudging the rolls, I've found a dice roll storing website that can be used for free.

Lastly, does the idea even sound good? The basic premise is the underworld a la vaguely steampunk not!London with heavy tarotic themes... where the basic idea is to actively try and overthrow the current figure keeping you there. It's meant to be a subversion of the Tabula Rasa and Jamjar games, or you can play it exactly as a Jamjar and/or Tabula Rasa game. I'm completely up for going into detail if anybody wants more info, but I might already be tl;dring you guys.

Okay, actually I lied. one last question. These are some of the early symbols for the game, do they suck balls or not?

I do like the sound of it! I'm not a hundred percent sure I'd play, because...honestly memory games irrationally bug me, and even though you wouldn't have to, the fact that other people would be still means that I couldn't avoid it. But it honestly does sound like a seriously awesome game to me.

and I totally vote DW, but then you knew that. Seriously, if I didn't love CFUD so much, I'd've already abandoned it for DW entirely because the whole notifications delay keeps bugging me forever.

And I do like the symbols! Especially the dog
