Stuff, stuff, and for a change, stuff.
A bit had occurred since last post. First of all I have my computer parts in, only problem is that one part or the other isn’t working and I’ll have to return it. No problem, on both of the parts I have been assured that it won’t be a big hassle. On the upside I have my little sweet Noa case right beside me…
Yes I am petting it, I’m quite sure that’s a normal reaction.
In other news it seems that a roadblock has been passed with a friend, and that’s always a good thing. However it also seems that I need to look through other channels for gank episodes. It’s quite odd, right before the con when I searched on e-bay they only had vcd/dvd’s of the fan subs… which was what I wanted, but was going to hold off because of other reasons that I have gone over before. Now after the con they only have the wretched Hong Kong subs… which although useful for AMV’s, pose a problem that the series is a ‘talkie’… meaning that the series is heavy on dialogue, so poor quality subs isn’t a good idea.
The sad thing? I’m getting desperate enough that I have to keep myself from springing for it. The main reason I’m getting worked up about this show is not only because this is a good series, but also because the scarcity of me getting a chance to view it adds to my desire to own the bloody thing. My sense of reason keeps informing me that once I get a hold of a copy that isn’t a shoddily-made Chinese bootleg or that 1gig file that I’d have to keep the lines tied up for fifty-nine days, I’ll be wondering what came over me and that it wasn’t worth the metaphorical blood sweat and tears that I shed during the course of obtaining said copy. Not to mention the arguments and annoyance that occurred as well.
So far, my sense of reason is losing the argument… plus part of me wants to see what some of the names would be translated to.
Also on the good side of things I have noticed that whenever I spend time with anyone from the old Shadowrun group I end up with semi-amusing quotes. I only wish that I could remember them in their entirety, if that were the case, most of this blog would be filled with quotes.
