Interesting fact:

You CAN play world of warcraft on 56k dial-up, and even at a good pace. Sure the main cities can sometimes give one lag… but really I’ve heard that from people with broadband.

One nitpick though; I’m on a RP server (thorum brotherhood if anyone’s interested in playing with a crotchety troll hunter) but there’s only a handful of people who actually play on it like it’s meant for RP. I don’t understand it; it’s not like it has the best population OR anybody famous on it, so what draws the people who need the clue-bat to it?

For example, there was this one hunter who not only had a name which if was in character, I feel sorry for the guy’s mother. It wasn’t just the name though, he just didn’t get it:

Somethingman: dude how’d you get the pet?
Me: (in character answer about being experienced and whatnot.)
Somethingman: soooo, what level is that?
Me: level? Didja let the doctor give ya something? I don no what ya talkin’ about.
Somethingman: helooooo level? That thing above your head? And where are you from?
Me: (because it was obviously time for the clue-bat) ((is that question in character or ooc?)) (his character was also a troll)
Somethingman: oh Jamaica
Me: ((um, it’s wow cannon, that’s what a troll’s accent sounds like.))
Somethingman: oh; whatever how do I get the pet?

I’m just hoping that I’m meeting the short bus trolls or something of the like.

Other then the non-rp on the role play servers, the game is damn fun.
