Life *update*
Nov. 17th, 2006 02:10 amSo things still haven't been ironed out with mom, but we managed to table the subject until I get myself tested to prove or disprove the matter; mom's used to dealing with little walking space, I'm sure the elephant in the middle of the room will be no problem for her.
In other things I have almost all of the back-story for the Yaoi game ready, so now it's only a minor point of slapping the stuff up on the website. This leaves a question though:
y'see, part of the page describes location in the city, and I want to have pictures of said places, but all three of my options have major drawbacks.
1) Photomanips:
Pros: easiest to do, not hard to get source material.
Cons: when mixed with hand-drawn things, looks like ass. Also I don't get the exact look I want of the place I’m going for.
2) Sims 2 screenshots with editing:
Pros: takes the least amount of time, able to design places as I want them
Cons: can't help it looking like a Sims 2 screencap, lack of custom-designed furniture is a problem.
3) Bryce:
Pros: once again, full control of the end result.
Cons: finding decent free humanoid models can be an issue, takes forever to render, and takes forever to model.
4) Sketched art, scanned, and cleaned up:
Pros: most amount of control with result, if done right can blend in with the feel of the webpage.
Cons: the artist sucks like a sucky sucky thing at architecture drawings and even more so with humans, difficult to make the image 'blend in' without it looking like videogame concept art.
5) Give own suggestion in comments. (Other then "give up on the pictures, ass")
