Go life update
You may be asking yourself, “how goes Basil on the tooth shit?” Or not, as is likely the case. The answer is a combination of “fuck yes”, paranoia, and “oh god my jaw”
For the last few months I’ve been cutting down on things I should probably get (like clothes) structuring meal plans so I can keep track of my money, and in general cutting down to the very basics. This hasn’t made mom happy in the least, and she’s pissed that I’ve been giving her less money. However she got to keep her pwecious vodka fund, (if only because I couldn’t pry it out of her hands to spend on food and bills) so there’s only been arguments every few days or so, not counting the last two weeks. So I’ve managed to scrape together the other half of the payment I needed.
This is good because I just had the temporary crown put on today. Let me tell you, I am nervous. My temp crown means I’m pretty much eating liquids and food that’s softer then fresh bread for the next two weeks or so. So I’m as worried as always about sleeping on the wrong side. Also the dental assistant nicked/burned my lip so that’s vaguely annoying, however it’s nothing compared to the pain in my jaw. My dentist is getting so much better at knowing how to decrease the pain as fast as possible with the shortest time after the surgery’s over that I get numbed up, but it still huts for about three days on average. I also loved how he handled the front desk financial staff. For some reason they called me in without making me pay first, and when she came back into to where the operating chair was he gently shoo’d her out. Seriously, I hope this dentist stays local. Where else am I going to find a caring dentist who’s traveled to Europe, knows Latin roots, and is glad to tell you about Turkish history and his trips there? (he saw the Turkish myths book I had checked out, conversation about Ottoman/Turkish history and European current events followed.)
But in any case it means that all of my chewing will be done on the side with the ortho band, which is something I haven’t done in a long while (and for a reason). I’m also becoming increasingly worried about getting the wisdom teeth taken out, but that’s a project for after the other crown gets been placed. Right now my goals are paying people back, and then seeing about if I can afford yaoi con. If I keep up the saving I might be able to do both. At least I hope I can. It would suck if Cielo managed to visit and I couldn’t go to the con.
GAMEWISE… Kuroshitsuji 2 is an amazing troll. I mentioned that one of the classes fit two characters perfectly, correct? Well Claude just managed to up that to three. What’s interesting is that class wasn’t even based on a character from that series, it was based on Roberta from Black lagoon. I don’t even know how I’m going to explain it in the game’s faq other then “idk my bff Kuroshitsuji2”
