So life/game update. (this might or might not be me snapping)

The good news is that I have made further headway on the game; the bad news is that I have the rest of the write up on pause because of my job.

One is never advised to quit a job to look for another one, but just work that into ones’ schedule; that I will say is a good piece of advice. One problem people don’t mention is that if you have a job already then it’s like pulling teeth getting anything done.

For example, I’ve placed an application in at a new job, and the person who’s trying to pull a few strings says his boss has my back, but I can’t get a hold of the woman to get an interview to save my life (or rather my career). Now I want this job bad; why you ask? Not only does it start at a higher rate then the arcade with chances for promotion, but also it’s making people happy… it isn’t “trying to make little children happy while the parents go on and act like the epitome of what not to be a role-model of”; it’s making them happy in general.

The issue is that I’ve left no less then three messages on her answering machine, and tried to call at all the times she was supposed to be in. to be honest, I’m feeling snubbed. Moreover I’m not sure what for, she never even talked to me so I didn’t really have a chance to say something stupid. Yeah it’s… I’m worried, not just for this job but the one I’m currently holding at the arcade.

Head of the district (who I’ve mentioned before) has put tabs on me mainly because my boss has been complaining that I don’t get things done. Yanno what, I do admit that on the cleaning and detailing of the games I take longer, because I want it done right. On closing duties I have a violent hatred for vacuuming because of the cord, but I still do it if needed, and yeah I forget to do one or two things sometimes. I’m not sure if he’s aware of it (and pardon this minor explosion of large text) but…

News flash to asshole: everyone in the entire fucking store does it too, including you. I just fess up to it instead of passing it along to my underlings, which is what you do. The only reason you back down with the others is because they bitch better and are guys. God I hope that our boss messes with you like the both of you have done to the rest of us, you smug misogynistic bastard.

-not that he reads my livejournal, but it’s the thought that counts.

The thing is every time this sort of thing happens I remember the con where I related this story to Anneke and I get a little depressed because it’s a year later and nothing has changed. However I am glad I can still rant about it here, if someone notices and comments that’s great. On the other hand if no one notices then that’s fine too since at least I’ve gotten it out.

Ugh; I need a day with my friends who have the good, calming kind of crazy.

Arcades do rather tend to suck. I'm still out of work since I got fired for no bloody good reason. >.< Men in arcades are curses to female employees.

Good luck with the job hunting. Sounds like you definitely need a new one. And it's annoying when you really want a job somewhere and the manager won't give you the time of day. Think of it like this though: If they don't have time for you now, while you're just an applicant and still a potential customer of whatever services they off, and the manager is being irresponsible about calling you back, what would the actual job be like? She doesn't seem to want to give you the time of day, so how would she treat you as an employee. >.< I hate managers like that. They're usually irresponsible, incompetent bastards.

But good luck with the job hunt, and keep looking. I hope you'll have better luck than I have.

^^; Comparisons of penis sizes, perhaps? As long as they aren't harrassing the women, and are doing their respective jobs, that's what's important, isn't it?

I guess that sort of thing doesn't usually come to mind for me because I've never had a problem with that. I have this tendency to, once I've learned the ropes, force my managers and fellow employees to do it my way instead. ^^;

The biggest problem I've ever had has been managers getting jealous or angry that the employees would listen to me better than them.

Or it could have something to do with the fact that I'm just a little threatening the first time anything like that is tried. *innocent smile* I have this tendency to be scary the first time stuff like that happens, and I squash the rest of it pretty quickly. I don't put up with bullshit well--especially at work.

Of course, if I'm working somewhere nobody pulls their weight, I'm out of there pretty quick. My work ethic borders on "frightening."
